Short Shift - Fatigue

Fatigue doesn’t hit you all at once. It builds up slowly, settling into the parts of you that have worked the hardest. Usually, you only notice it when you finally pause, and everything catches up to you.

It’s important to notice when you’re tired. Instead of fighting it or pretending you’re okay, just admit you’ve been working hard. Fatigue isn’t a weakness; it shows you’ve made progress, held things together, and kept going when you had no other choice.

Looking back can help too. The effort, the strain, the choices, and the weight you carried all matter. Sometimes, feeling tired is the most honest sign of how far you’ve come.

Once you recognise it, you can make changes. Slow down a little, take a break, and get ready for what comes next. Fatigue doesn’t mean you’re finished; it just means you’re human and still moving forward.
